Ms. Zeynepa Zaimova, M.S.,NCC.
School Counselor
Hello! My name is Zeynepa Zaimova, and I am the school counselor at Plainfield Elementary School. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Sociology from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science Degree and School Counseling Certification from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and am in the process of obtaining my LPC. I am a member of the Pennsylvania School Counselor Association and the American School Counselor Association. I was once a student at Plainfield and feel very fortunate to work in a community and school district that I hold very near and dear to my heart.
The role of the counselor is to support, advocate for, and assist in the academic, personal/social, and career development of each student. As an elementary school counselor, my goal is to provide students with the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to build a strong foundation for future success. I work with students in the classroom, in small groups, and individually. I also assist with crisis response and am a liaison to outside resources.
In addition to my role described above, I am the elementary school's Student Assistance Program (SAP) coordinator. This program, mandated by the state of PA, supports a student if needs arise.
